01 — The door track
The door track is already in the header
The single biggest constraint. A sectional garage door and its track occupy the exact space a screen housing would naturally want, and the door has to keep working normally afterwards. Where the housing goes — in front of, behind or below the track — is the first thing we work out, and a photograph of the track tells us most of it.
- The garage door must continue to operate normally.
- Housing position is planned around the existing track.
- Headroom above the opening is often the binding constraint.
