01 — The trade
It does not breathe, and that is the whole trade
A mesh moves air. Vinyl does not. Close a covered space on a warm day with clear vinyl and you will build heat, because you have removed the ventilation along with the weather. That is not a defect — it is the physics of a solid panel, and it is why vinyl usually goes on one side rather than all of them.
- Vinyl closes the opening completely to air as well as rain.
- Heat can build in a closed space on a warm day.
- Usually specified on one exposed side, not on every opening.
