What these guides are for

These are reference pages. The five questions below are the ones that actually decide whether a project goes well, and two of them — approval, and what really moves the price — are the hardest to get a straight answer to anywhere.

There is a sensible order to read them in. Approval first, because in some of our markets the answer changes what is possible before any product decision is made. Cost second, because it reframes what you are actually buying. Then material, then mechanism. The comparison guide is last on purpose: it exists partly to talk some readers out of buying what we sell.
