Solar mesh
Solves: direct sun and glare on the opening it covers.
View: retained, reduced somewhat by weave density.
Airflow: yes, it breathes.
Rain: no, it passes through by design.
The default answer for a west-facing opening in West Texas. Denser weaves cut more glare and show you less; opener weaves keep more view and do less about the light. There is no setting that maximises both, which is why the choice is made per opening. See solar screens for how that decision is made.
- Best for: afternoon sun and glare.
- Keeps air moving and most of the view.
- Does nothing about insects or rain.
