Why we do not quote before we measure

Opening width, the number of openings, the material, the control method, the structure and site access all move the number. A figure given before those are known is a guess — and a guess that changes after the site visit is worse than no number at all.

Do I need to know what I want before I get in touch?

No. Most useful conversations start from the problem rather than the product — which side you stop using, at what time of year, and why. The material and the control method are decisions we work through together once the opening has been measured.

Can you give me a ballpark figure over the phone?

We would rather not, and we would be wary of anyone who does. Opening width, the number of openings, the material, the control method, the structure and site access all move the number. A figure produced before those are known is a guess, and a guess that changes after the site visit is worse than no number at all.

How do I send photographs?

Not through this form — it cannot carry file attachments, and we would rather say so than build an upload control that silently drops them. Send the inquiry first and we will reply with the best way to get photographs to us. One picture taken from where you actually sit is worth more than a floor plan.

Do you work outside San Angelo?
